Success (and even more to come!)

On Friday, we held our annual Family Dance Night and Book Swap, and it went swimmingly (or, perhaps, dancingly?).  We had a record number of families show up, and based on the Facebook posts from families and PTA members, the kids definitely got their dance on.  We hope they're enjoying any books they picked up, too.  Thank you to all who attended and to all the volunteers for creating a fun night for the community!

Speaking of fun nights for our community:

Spring Social & Silent Auction: Saturday, April 18th, 2015

That's right, our biggest fundraising and community event of the year is coming up!  Previously known as the Spring Gala, the PTA throws this event every spring to help raise money.  It's an adult-only event (childcare provided!) with delicious food, various forms of entertainment, and a HUGE amount of things to bid on.  Each year, we get donated auction items f rom local businesses, and we also have a wide selection of items created by families, our children, or neighborhood artists.  We also have the extremely popular Beer and Wine raffle.

We'll post more on this event as it gets closer, but for now, the most important thing is...

We need volunteers!

If you'd like to help with the fundraising ahead of time (finding sponsors; gathering donations; etc), please contact our Fundraising Chair Jill Pearson-Wood at

If you're interested in helping with Communications and PR (making flyers; putting the word out) contact Jenny Arneson at

If you'd love to help with the venue (decorating; setting up; etc) contact our venue coordinator Jill Nelson at

If you'd like to donate something for the silent auction, contact our President, Amanda Muenzer at

We'll hopefully have a VolunteerSpot page go up soon, so if you're not sure what you'd like to do yet, but you'd love to take part in planning, there will be plenty of opportunities to help out.

We look forward to hearing from you!
