At
Minneapolis Public Schools, our goal is to ensure that every student
graduates prepared for college, careers and life. A levy helps fund
important educational programs and services that are not fully funded by
the state. Each year, MPS can levy additional property tax revenue of
up to to $189.8 million. For Fiscal Year 2014, the Board of Education
approved a reduced levy of $113.6 million in order to lessen the burden
on taxpayers. This meeting will give you an opportunity to learn more about this process.
