SUMMER MEALS FOR KIDS AGES 1-18

What is the Summer Food Service Program?
The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) was created to ensure that children could continue to receive nutritious meals during summer vacation, when they do not have access to school lunch or breakfast. Minneapolis Public Schools Culinary and Nutrition Services Department is a local sponsor of the USDA Summer Food Service Program, which provides nutritious meals and snacks served in Minneapolis schools, parks, and community sites.

When does the SFSP start and end?
The 2013 Summer Food Service Program will run Monday, June 10 - Friday, August 16. There will be no meal service on Thursday, July 4.

What does it cost to be on the program?
Nothing! Meals and snacks served through the Summer Food Service Program are FREE to ALL children ages 1-18.
