Our next PTA Meeting will be a very important one for several reasons. First, this is the meeting when we nominate next year's PTA board members. We made some important changes to our organizational structure already when we voted to fund a paid volunteer coordinator position, and the leadership of our PTA will adjust accordingly.
This is also the big planning meeting for Carnival, which will be on May 21, 2010! We need YOU to volunteer if you can, contribute baked goods, 2-liter bottles of the beverage of your choice, and start selling raffle tickets to your friends and family. We're raffling a couple of big-ticket items this year, including a Blu-ray player and a flat panel TV!
Finally, we will have a special guest at this meeting who will be addressing an important topic to all of our children: Bullying. Our wonderful school social worker, Sarah Freeberg Olson, will be leading a discussion about how to prevent, discourage and otherwise deal with bullying both at school and outside of the school setting.
Please join us and bring your friends. This meeting is not just for Waite Park parents!
